Bringing the past forward through the re-purposing of vintage table linens and handkerchiefs! ***Do you or someone you know love journaling or just having a place to keep notes? How about a standard composition book, only made extra special with with a beautiful cover created from a vintage tablecloth and coordinating cotton fabrics? These covers are both pretty and practical, and are made to fit a standard composition book measuring 9.75 x 7.5.” The inside has two pocket panels that allow it to fit over the front and back covers of the composition book. The front panel has a lined pocket. The back panel has a pocket that holds a matching coaster, perfect for that hot beverage you sip while you write. On the upper back there is a loop to hold a pen. A ribbon bookmark is sewn into the top of the back to keep your place. Such a wonderful and practical way to show off your love of vintage! Would make a great gift!*Includes a new composition book. These handmade items are created from vintage table linens and handkerchiefs that have been used and loved in their former lives. After the search for and discovery of the tablecloths and other items at estate sales and the like, I carefully wash, press and examine them to plan how they can be used. While I have done my best to cut around holes, snags and stains, there may be some signs of wear which is characteristic of vintage textiles. Remember that some of these fabrics are 70-80 years old (from the 1940’s and 1950’s!) and were often items used on a daily basis, so the occasional minor slub or very light stain validates its unique vintage roots! *All fabrics are cotton or linen, and all have been pre-washed for shrinkage and colorfastness. *All seams are stitched and serged. Interfacing has been added to thinner fabrics for strength and durability. ***PLEASE NOTE: All items sold ‘as is.’ Although I attempt to describe accurately and will note any flaws, please email with any questions or for any additional info, pics, etc. I answer ALL emails promptly.
